Happy Thanksgiving from AFSCME Council 31

Our union is fortunate to have so many spirited, determined members, retirees and supporters. We have a lot to be grateful for—all that we have accomplished together over the years. 

Unfortunately, Gov. Rauner is trying to hurt Illinois families by driving down workers' wages and stripping our union rights. But together we are strong enough to turn the tide against the "turnaround."

From December 5th to 10th, we’re rallying statewide with members of other unions and our community supporters to send him a message: Stop the cuts that are hurting our cities, counties, seniors and those in need. And stop holding hostage a fair contract for state employees.
