Help stop 'Right To Work' in Wisconsin
Wisconsin's Republican-controlled state Senate and House are likely to try ramming through so-called "right to work" legislation this week, and Gov. Scott Walker vows to sign it into law. Illinois union members and retirees are urged to join rallies and phone banks opposing this assault on the rights of union members in Wisconsin to have a voice at work.
Right-to-work legislation lowers wages for all workers union and non-union, and hurts our entire middle class. Because Illinois Gov. Bruce Rauner is pushing for local right-to-work zones and has called Wisconsin Gov. Walker a role model, it's particularly important that we make our voices heard and speak out for fair wages, safe working conditions, worker rights and a strong middle class.
