Karen Lewis, tireless fighter for justice

Statement of Roberta Lynch, AFSCME Council 31 Executive Director on the passing of former Chicago Teachers Union president, Karen Lewis:

"Karen Lewis was a passionate fighter for justice, an outspoken voice for quality education for all, and a visionary union leader. She challenged, inspired, motivated, and, yes, dazzled us with her boundless energy and firm convictions. A life so well-lived that improved the lives of so many. We mourn her passing and honor her memory. Rest in power, Karen."
